Assignment # 20
This is assignment was to create an organization that I believed in and I made mine the campaign for starving children. The organization is called Africa with a star in the A. And I used photoshop, illustrator, and inDesign. The colors I used were dark blue, light blue and white. I used these colors because it has a feeling of sorrow and gloominess which shows the emotion of the child in the photo.
Assignment # 19
This assignment we made our business cards and I chose to do the Candy Shop. I used light colors that would appeal to peoples senses, I used brown for chocolate and pink for lollipops and I used mostly the pen tool for everything except the information at the bottom left corner.
Assignment # 18
For this assignment we had to make wordmarks which is a logo that is made up of type. I chose to do the St. Henri Hotel logo because it was easy to think of what colors and font to use. I looked up hotel wordmarks and they were all nearly profeesional looking, they didn't have coloful signs they were all subtle and golds and blues and blacks. I chose this font because it looked clean and suitable for a hotel. I also added a visual of a hotel as the L in the word hotel to add somewhat of an interest of else it would've looked too boring.
Assignment # 17
For this assignment we were given an option to choose a logo that we wanted to create and I chose Spin Records which is a record company and the main thing I wanted to get across was to make it noticeable and eye pleasing. I did that by making my logo black and red, they are contrasts of each other making the black and red pop out and the logo is simple and easy to know what the company is. I thought that the logo was fresh and something that a younger audience in the age group of 15 to 20 would be interested in.
Assignment In Class
For assignment 17 we had to make stylized art and i chose to do a face and a n animal for the face all i did was trace the hands and lips and i added highlights to the face to add more dept and i used creamy colors to show that it was feminine and for the animal i traced a giraffe and its spots and the spots and the background are the same color because i wanted it to look simple and your eyes mostly goes to the head and down to the spots.
Assignment #16
This assignment we made a timeline for the history of graphic design. I used an inspiration from the internet and I liked this design because it as simple and appealing to look at and it looks professional.
Assignment #15
For this assignment we made a illuminated manuscript and I made my manuscript simple yet very colorful and I tried to make it look like a real manuscript by adding the colors and shapes and designs on the sides.
Assignment #14
For this assignment I had the career poster for a storyboard artist and I tried to incorporate a lot of artist objects in the poster and i tried to use dark colors to ease the eyes and take the focus to the lighter objects like the paper and heading.
Assignment # 13
This assignment was completed as a group and my design was the torso, I used Michael Jackson as the torso and I created a new background and used paint to get the background to be visible, and I also used an image of a belt buckle for fun and I used the type from Adobe illustrate for the belt lines. The rib cage was also an image i painted to fit in the torso and i also used type on the lines of the ribs.

For alphabetography I had to take picture of objects that look like letters and out of the ten pictures I took this is a picture of glasses that look like a B.
Assignment # 11
For this assignment we had to think of an image that reflected to the lyrics of our chosen song or poem and I chose lyrics that had life lessons and my picture reflected that because the car was meant to symbolize freedom and to go places and do things you want.
Assignment # 10
For this assignment we had to make a alphabetography, which is taking pictures of objects that look like letters of the alphabet, i used 15 pictures from the internet and 10 of my own.
Assignment # 9
This assignment we had to create different images for the classifications and i used different fonts for each, the three categories were figure/ground, repitition, and formal ground and the fonts i used were script, old style, sans serif, modern, slab serif, and black letter.
Assignment # 8
For this assignment I used both the picture and word to be umbrella and the umbrella has flowers on them so i used m's for the regular flowers and l's for the mini flowers and a b as the middle part and the line of the b as a stem for the flower then i used r's for the creases in the umbrella and the actual word was used for the rims of the umbrella and the inner for shadows and for the roses i used b's. the tools that i used were the pen tool to make the line for the text and the text tool.
Assignment # 7
My idea was to use The Beatles because they always have a spacious photo together and they're mood fit for just doing a straight face and the spacing was perfect so that i could crop myself in the back, i used the brush tool to blend myself in and the magic wand tool to take out the color from my background.
Assignment # 6
My creation was based on space and i used cut out images such as a fish bowl for a helmet, a waffle for a face, an actual nose and mouth, a buzz-lightyear costume with silver UGG boots. I also cut out my rocket ship and used a trashcan as the tip of the rocket and actual fire at the bottom. Other items i cut out were the alien, the UFO, and the satellite.
Assignment # 5
This assignment was to create a photo mosaic and i chose to do a picture of a family holding hands and the little photos making the mosaic are different random hands and arms. After I made the background I made the main picture lighter so that it blends well with the background.
Assignment #4
For this assignment I took a picture of myself in the photo booth and utilized my picture to create different contrast to work well with a black and white photo, then i created layers to color my face, eyes, etc. and after i made all 4 I flattened everything together to make one whole picture.
Assignment # 3
This assignment was to make a color wheel, my idea was to make a dream catcher but i couldnt make the circle to connect all the feathers because i couldnt use white as the color so i traced the feathers with my pen tool and i traced one triangle and copy and pasted.
Assignment #2
For this assignment I used Adobe Illustrator to pen trace images from the internet and make a design. For the top row the images are mainly easy and plain patterns and the second row is more smaller details and the third row is more defined. I used the pen tool and the white arrow tool to manipulate the lines to make curves.
